Melissa Townsend is currently President and co-owner of The Attraction Services Company, Inc. (TASC) and Griftown Enterprises, Inc. Griftown was established in 2002 to provide design and fabrication of prototype military vehicles as well as Special Effects, Mechanical Effects, and Flame Effects for permanent venues. TASC was established in 2006 as a separate corporation with full focus on the entertainment related projects. TASC provides services from concept through fabrication and beyond for theme park attractions, casinos, museums and nightclubs or any themed environment.
From 1994 until 2002 she was Senior Vice President of Attraction Services, Inc. and Attraction Services Europa. Attraction Services, Inc. was an international company with facilities in Valencia, California, and Barcelona, Spain. As a principal, she was actively involved in small and multi-million dollar projects in the United States, Canada, England, Spain, France, Japan, Korea, Austria, and Brazil. She has been actively involved in the entertainment industry since 1990. Melissa was actively and directly involved in major projects based out of the Barcelona office.
She currently sits on the International Board of Directors for the TEA. In the past she was very active with the TEA both as Chairperson of the Steering Committee and Interim President of the North American Western Division.
